Tourism Statistics and Tax Revenue by Region in Ukraine (2024)

In 2024, the State Agency for Tourism Development (SATD) analyzed tax revenues generated by the tourism industry across various regions.

According to the data, Kyiv showed the most significant growth, bringing in 982 million UAH in 2024, compared to 499 million UAH in 2023. Most other regions also demonstrated an upward trend. For instance, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast recorded 248 million UAH in 2024, up from 138 million UAH the previous year.

However, several regions have yet to return to their pre-full-scale invasion (2021) levels:

Kherson Oblast: Collected only 3 million UAH in 2024, a sharp decline from 58 million UAH in 2021.

Donetsk & Luhansk Oblasts: These regions experienced the most dramatic drops, with tax revenues decreasing by 76% and 98% respectively compared to 2021.
